Varian Hibbert was charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a nife during the commission ofa felony on Thanksgiving Day in Gwinnett County. His victim was his mother.
Gwinnett County Police Officers received a domestic-related assault call about and found the mother, 42-year-old Marcia Chance, in the house in the 1100 block of Misty Valley Court in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Chance was dead at the scene.
There are reports of mental issues with Hibbert.
