The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for various boards, authorities, and committees that help advise commissioners and departments on policies and practices.

“Serving on a board or authority is a great opportunity to make your voice heard on a local level,” said Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson. “We’re looking for people who are passionate about our community and interested in helping us and department leadership make the best decisions for Gwinnett’s residents, businesses, and visitors.”

Hendrickson and each of the four district commissioners have dozens of appointments they can make to a Gwinnett County board or authority. All those looking to be a part of decision-making on a County level are invited to apply using forms available on

Interested persons seeking to serve as an appointee of one of the commissioners are encouraged to fill out an application at, including those currently serving on a board who wish to be reappointed to their position. Candidates should submit a separate application for each board or authority for which they are applying.

Commissioners reserve the right to appoint or recommend appointment of persons to a board or authority outside of this process; there are some instances where persons are uniquely qualified to serve in a role or a timing issue compels such an action.
