Gwinnett County has a rich history in the signing of the United States of America’s Declaration of Independence. Button Gwinnett was one of three signers of the proclamation from Georgia and was responsible for negotiating a treaty with Native American Indians for the land that is now Gwinnett County. In celebration of Button Gwinnett, Georgia Gwinnett College invites the public to attend their upcoming annual Button Gwinnett Day.
