Internship Options
The CBCF Summer Internship Program provides two prestigious pathways for young Black professionals to jump start their careers:
- Congressional Internship – Gain firsthand experience working in a CBC Member’s office on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
- Pathways to C-Suite Internship – Develop executive leadership skills by interning at top private sector companies.

- Program Duration: May 27 – July 27, 2025
- Location: Washington, D.C.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- GPA Requirement: 2.5 GPA (Congressional Interns) or 3.0 GPA (C-Suite Interns)
- Residency Requirement: Must be a permanent resident or attend a university in the district of a CBC Member
- Enrollment Status: Must be enrolled full-time or a recent college graduate upon acceptance
- Full Commitment: Interns cannot take outside courses or have employment that interferes with their internship responsibilities.
Program Benefits
Selected interns will receive:
- Placement in a CBC Member’s Office (Congressional Interns)
- Free Housing in Washington, D.C.
- Bi-weekly Stipend for Expenses
