The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners has approved the construction of a 78,000-square-foot Human Services facility, marking a significant milestone for the county and the tri-county area. Set to break ground in January 2025 on Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville, the three-story building will be a first-of-its-kind in Gwinnett, providing critical services to residents in need.
Named OneStop Gwinnett, the facility will serve as a centralized hub for various human services, including veteran and family assistance, workforce development programs, and a range of community classes and training opportunities. It will also house the County’s Community Navigator Team, which plays a vital role in connecting individuals with essential resources.
A key feature of the new facility is its partnership with View Point Health, which will help address the growing demand for mental and behavioral health services in the area. The building will include a 30-bed inpatient stabilization unit as well as a 23-hour temporary observation day center that can accommodate up to 15 individuals in need of immediate support.
This state-of-the-art facility aims to streamline services, making it easier for Gwinnett residents to access the help they need all in one location. It represents a major investment in the community’s well-being, with far-reaching benefits for individuals and families throughout the county.
